Dr. Hikabasa Halwiindi is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Zambia, where he has worked since 2002. He has a Ph.D. in Community Health from the University of Copenhagen, a Postgraduate Diploma in Research Methodology from the DBL-Institute for Research and Development, an MPhil in International community health from the University of Oslo, and a BSc degree in Biological Sciences (Parasitology Major) from the University of Zambia.
His teaching credentials and experience include Community Health, Implementation Science, Health Promotion, Epidemiology, and Research Methodology. Over the years he has also been a consultant in Public Health Project development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation for various International and local organizations, including the World Food Program, WHO, DFID, UNICEF, National Aids Council, Ministry of Health and Civil Societies Alliance on Scaling Up Nutrition.
