The University of Zambia (UNZA) Acting Vice-Chancellor, Dr Tamala Kambikambi, who has recently joined as Deputy Vice-Chancellor, visited the Africa Centre of Excellence for Infectious Diseases of Humans and Animals (ACEIDHA) to orient herself of the operations of the Centre on Wednesday, 5th August 2020.
During the orientation visit, Dr Kambikambi praised ACCEIDHA for the efforts so far made in training postgraduate students who have a remarkable numbers of international students to make the Centre a regional hub of training and research in infectious diseases. She assured the Centre of the UNZA Management support.
At the same function, ACEIDHA Centre Leader, Prof Bernard Hang’ombe, gave a power point presentation that highlighted the operations of the Centre – its achievements, challenges and future plans. For instance, Prof Hang’ombe, announced that the funds to begin rehabilitation works on the Centre’s infrastructure were available and works would begin by the end of 2020.
